Created by Steez of Sweets by Steez, Cake & Sip New York launched in July 2023 with a simple idea: bring people together over cake.

What started as an intimate cake decorating experience in Brooklyn quickly captured attention far beyond New York. The original Cake & Sip experience went viral, generating more than 1.2 million views and introducing audiences around the world to a new way to experience cake decorating.

Since then, we've welcomed thousands of guests, including visitors from South Africa, Canada, and across the United States who have traveled to New York to experience Cake & Sip for themselves.

But Cake & Sip has never stopped evolving.

In 2026, we introduced Cake & Sip Canvas Painting, reimagining the traditional canvas painting experience by replacing paint with buttercream and the canvas with cake. Guests use brushes, palette knives, color, and buttercream to transform their cakes into edible works of art.

In July 2026, Cake & Sip went viral again. Canvas Painting generated more than 3.3 million views, introducing millions of people to the newest evolution of the Cake & Sip experience and marking another major chapter in our story.

Today, Cake & Sip New York is a signature experience of HOUSE 1 OF 1, New York's Hospitality House.
